When to Register

Registration Priority

New & continuing students may lose registration priority if they: 1) earn more than 100 degree applicable units at Butte College, and/or 2) are on academic probation for 2 or more terms, 3) do not complete orientation and meet with a counselor to complete an Education Plan. Students who are identified to lose priority registration are notified by email on October 7, 2024. On or after October 7, 2024 these students may file a petition to appeal loss of priority status with Admissions and Records at admissions@syria-events.com by October 31, 2024 to receive priority status reevaluation prior to the start of Spring 2025 registration. Final deadline to submit appeals to Admissions and Records is November 19, 2024.

NEW COLLEGE STUDENTS
(Students attending college for the first time)

MUST satisfy: New Student Orientation

- New Student Orientation sign ups begin on November 12, 2024

Students who attend New Student Orientation will receive:  

-Assistance in identifying a program of study that meets career objectives

- Support from a Counselor in identifying course options, build a first-semester education plan and register for Fall courses

- Introduction to a variety of programs and services designed to build community and support

- Take a campus tour to learn why Butte College is the right choice for YOU

Online Orientation is Required:  The Online Orientation Request Form opens on November 12, 2024.

Students returning to Butte after more than one year must submit a new application prior to registering.
